Located in the heart of the popular European neighbourhood, close to Parliament, this remarkable Art Nouveau style master house was built in 1901 by architect Victor Taelemans for his personal use. It combines with elegance an exceptional architectural heritage and contemporary comfort.
Developing about 360 m2 of living space, the house is organized around a large entrance hall on the ground floor, sublimated by a period mosaic characteristic of Art Nouveau. It serves a fully equipped open kitchen, designed to fit in harmoniously with the spirit of the house. A spacious dining room of about 50 m2, with an original decorative fireplace, leads to a versatile space that can accommodate an office or a games room, with direct access to a pleasant south facing terrace of ± 45 m2.
A remarkable period staircase serves the floors. The first level features a bedroom with private shower room and built-in wardrobes, a bright living room and a library area. The original architectural elements, such as mouldings, woodwork and door handles with arabesque motifs, have been carefully preserved.
The second floor consists of three bedrooms, one with private shower, and a large bathroom. The last level offers a studio under the roof with seating area, kitchenette, bedroom and bathroom.
Numerous original finishes have been preserved: solid parquet floors, mosaics, stained glass windows and ironware. Large cellars complete the whole, as well as a closed garage for two vehicles located under the terrace.
