Thanks to the well insulated facades and roofs, plus a new condensation boiler, this is a well insulated and energy efficient house. From the ridge to the basement, it was thoroughly renewed. In terms of style work was done with black (PVC windows and glazed living door), wood (parquet with thick top layer) and white (kitchen fronts and painting). The living room and open kitchen extend from front to rear façade (sierpakt), with high, flat decorative radiators providing heating. LED spots are included in the ceilings. From the living room you look at the terrace, garden and garden house via a wide aluminium sliding window. In the kitchen the following appliances are chosen: hob, dishwasher, oven, fridge and hood. Both in the kitchen and in the master bedroom, you have electrically operated shutters. On the second floor we spotted a smaller room and a room with the same surface as the master bedroom. The bathroom includes a hanging toilet, walk-in shower with sliding wall and fixed sofa, a wide furniture (natural stone) with round mirror (heated and lit). Both the living room and the rooms, are equipped with parquet. Future-oriented cables were provided from front door to living (future videophone/parlophone) and from the second floor to the kitchen (future solar panels). We have measured 20 dBA here as the silentest sound. In the Bakelaarstraat, a one-way street, you can drive 30 km/h and park on both sides of the street with a parking disc or residents card.
