In the heart of Elsegem, on the edge of the Gulf of Oudenaarde, lies the Pastorie of Elsegem, a valuable piece of heritage that connects history and contemporary comfort seamlessly. The rectory is completely surrounded by a moat. Via a bridge to the left of the church you reach this idyllic domain, where peace and character go hand in hand.
The current rectory was built in 1883 in neotraditional style, according to the plans of the reputable Ghent architect Auguste Van Assche. After the war damage she suffered during the First World War, the house was partially rebuilt between 1920 and 1921, respecting the original style and appearance.
Today the rectory is fully ready to board and adapted to the needs of modern living comfort. On the ground floor there is an open kitchen that is connected to a cozy living room and seating. In addition, there is a laundry room and an extra room that can perfectly serve as additional living space or office space.
On the upper floors there are four spacious bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bedroom is equipped with its own dressing and a bathroom with both bath and shower.
The Pastorie of Elsegem is a unique building that has preserved its historic soul, while at the same time offering a warm and comfortable home in an exceptionally green and quiet environment.
